Birmingham Newman University library is very happy to be hosting an online event to enable knowledge sharing and discussion related to inter-library loans services.
Bookings are limited to members of Mercian institutions only, but there is no limit on the number of sign-ups per institution.
Details of the event are as follows:
Title: Inter-library loans knowledge exchange
Description: An opportunity for library staff to share practices, explore challenges, and discuss innovations in inter-library loan and document supply services.
Participants will:
- Gain insight into current ILL practices across different institutions, including workflows, systems, and tools in use.
- Identify common challenges in managing ILL requests and explore practical strategies to address them.
- Build professional connections through shared experiences and networking activities.
Target audience: Library staff involved in managing or supporting inter-library loan (ILL) services; systems librarians or technical staff working with ILL platforms, APIs, and integrations; library managers or service leads interested in improving efficiency and user experience.
Date: 19th November 2025
Time: 11am – 3pm (including 40-min break for lunch)
