Description:
Tight budgets are putting pressure on traditional CPD in HE libraries. By collaborating and innovating we can devise low-cost approaches to staff development. The day will offer opportunities to share effective practice, highlight successful initiatives, and connect with colleagues across the region.
The event features presentations and workshops with speakers from across several Mercian libraries. In addition, the morning’s presentations will be livestreamed for those who wish to attend online.
The University of Worcester will showcase its new Staff Development Framework, built around the Association of Higher Education Professionals (AHEP) Professional Framework and the 70:20:10 model of continuous development. Members of Worcester’s library team will share low-budget internal initiatives as good practice.
Also on the agenda are workshops and discussions with colleagues from Mercian institutions, covering topics from digital upskilling to staff development programmes and low-budget actions.
