About the event:

Join us on 22 April, between 1pm and 4pm, to network, collaborate, and hear from other Mercian institutions about their sustainability journeys. This is an online event, brought to you by organisers from Birmingham, Keele, Nottingham Trent and The Open University.

We are thrilled to share that three fantastic speakers will be presenting at our Mercian Spring into Sustainability event.

  • Rabeea Arif, Director of Research and Development at CILIP: details about the Green Libraries Campaign and Manifesto, and information about this year’s Green Libraries Week (21-28 October)
  • Jon Ray from The Bodleian: an introduction to the Bodleian Libraries, their sustainability goals, work to date and plans for the future, including key learnings and practical steps that you can take.
  • Simon Dixon, Associate Director for Community and Heritage, University of Leicester Library: hear about the successes and challenges from a number of initiatives including building a sustainability collection and becoming part of the Leicester Seed Library.

Between each presentation we will host breakout conversations on the topics covered, so that you can all share your own expertise, questions, and advice on the topic.

The presentations themselves will be recorded, but the breakout discussions won’t so make sure you sign up to get the full experience!

If you would like to come along and hear all the amazing work that’s happening in the sector, grab your ticket now.
