It’s not too late to kick off a great academic year of professional development with a visit to the Mercian Collaboration Conference 2017.

Conference bookings opened in June 2017 for the inaugural Mercian Conference (#mercian17), hosted at De Montfort University’s The Venue.  Entitled In Libraries We Trust, the event comprises a keynote by Eric Stoller, along with fourteen breakout sessions and workshops highlighting activity from across the Mercian Collaboration region.

Currently, over two-thirds of the delegate spaces have now been booked, with nineteen out of the twenty-two current Mercian Collaboration member institutions represented among the speakers and delegates. This guarantees a fabulous day of networking, discussion and collaborative learning is in store.

Excitingly, as this is the Collaboration’s first Conference, no delegate fees are being charged, with the event being entirely supported by the Mercian itself. This means there’s practically no excuses for not taking the opportunity and making the Mercian Conference 2017 your next professional development destination!

Delegate booking for the conference closes on Friday 1st September 2017 at 5pm, and it is anticipated that competition for the final spaces will be fierce: so don’t leave it until the last minute, book your space today!
