Presenters:

  • Darren Flynn – Academic Liaison Manager (The University of Northampton)

Stop, Look, Listen, Think: Integrated Learner Support 5 years on. Academic librarians at the University of Northampton have delivered information and digital literacy skills as part of the Integrated Learner Support model since 2018. Five years on, this session will reflect on the successes, challenges and changes that have taken place in this model and consider the future of our teaching activities.

  • Rachel Stone – Learning and Teaching Librarian (The Open University)

Learning and Teaching Librarians at the OU facilitate the development of Digital and Information Literacy skills through supporting the module production process with embedding skills materials and Library content into the curriculum. We provide synchronous and asynchronous learning and teaching opportunities aligned with the DIL framework which can be embedded into tuition strategy. These enable students to demonstrate achievement and progression in these skills. This session will look at the positive impact of this approach to blended learning, some of the challenges faced along with some of the innovations we hope to implement in the future.

  • Andy Calvert & Jackie Hanes – (The University of Warwick)
