The Mercian Metadata Group (MMG) are planning a general meeting to discuss the direction of the group and fulfil our statutory requirements. This will be hosted as a physical event, and hope to explore hosting this and future events face-to-face with colleagues from across the Collaboration. An outline agenda for the event is as follows:

  • Plan M/OCLC deal
  • MUAL/Mercian rep for library framework sub-group
  • MARCEdit training 2.0
  • E-forum ideas
  • Direction of the group – forging links across the region
  • Officer succession
  • RDA and application profiles

However, suggestions for additional topics are welcomed.

Audience: All staff involved in metadata creation, curation and maintenance activities
