Annual Report 2021 Published
Looking back at another busy and challenging year, the 2021 Annual Report is an excellent primer on the Collaboration and its regional academic library members.
The Annual Report of the Mercian Collaboration, covering the twelve months of operation in 2021 is now available. Each year members, subgroups and the Collaboration’s officers provide this update which brings into sharps focus the variety of activities, and the organisations direction of travel. Additionally, it forms the formal reportage required by the Collaboration’s parent body SCONUL.
As in previous years, the report also includes a range of member updates, where directors and the teams reflect back on their own local challenges, successes and everything in between throughout 2021. Often accompanied by photographs, these vignettes always offer a valuable window into regional academic libraries during a period where physical visits and interactions have been restricted to a minimum. Reports covering the Collaboration’s subgroups are also included, evidencing each group’s respective level of activity in the year just past.
Alongside all this, is information which details the governance, officers and vision provided through and by the members of the Steering Group. With Chair, Chris Porter, and Vice Chair, Laura Pilsel, both providing personal insights too, the annual report is an excellent introduction into the Collaboration’s key personalities, policy and strategic direction. Allied to these sections are a host of facts, figures, charts and information provided by the Executive Officer which serve to flesh out the minutiae of the organisation and its operations.
