New SIG - Library Systems and Technologies (March '23)
While Mercian Collaboration members have different library systems and technologies under local IT architecture, we face similar challenges in implementing change and ensuring smooth operation. These challenges include a sustainable operating model, resourcing, staff development, or fostering an environment for innovations etc.
A group of Mercian colleagues has submitted a proposal for a new subgroup which aims to provide peer support and encourage knowledge sharing in managing and advancing various technological solutions within the digital library ecosystem.
While awaiting the approval from the Mercian Steering Group, you are invited to join the first meeting in March 2023 to get to know each other, identify common areas of interest and help shape the terms of reference. If you would like to join, please email bertha.low@bcu.ac.uk by 17th March (Fri) and the invite / joining instruction will be sent to you in due course.
