Our Keynote speaker for the Mercian 24 Conference

We are delighted to announce our Keynote speaker for the Mercian 24 Conference will be Helen Rimmer aka The Kind Librarian. Helen is passionate about fostering kindness and wellbeing in the workplace, and with over 20 years of experience in library and higher education leadership, Helen brings a wealth of knowledge and a heart full of empathy to her work. She loves sharing her insights on positive psychology and is dedicated to helping library professionals create more supportive and compassionate spaces.

Helen recently launched her book – The Kind Librarian by Helen Rimmer (facetpublishing.co.uk) – and her Keynote will explore the profound impact of cultivating kindness in the workplace, specifically within library settings. We are proud to be able to present such an inspirational keynote speaker at Mercian 2024 and very much look forward to welcoming you all to The Venue at De Montfort University next month.
