Collaborative Partnerships: What are they? How can we support them? And why should we?

An event hosted on behalf of the Mercian Staff Development Group. Coventry University is one of the UK’s largest providers of collaborative provision and transnational education (TNE), with over 18,000 students studying for Coventry degrees at over 30 partner institutions in the UK and around the globe. In 2018, the Library appointed an Academic Liaison Librarian with a specific remit for supporting partner institutions. This event will focus on the highs, the lows, and lessons learnt from three years developing library liaison and support from the ground up for students at Coventry’s partner institutions. There will also be an opportunity for staff to discuss how different libraries across the Mercian Collaboration support their partner students. Participants are asked to think about a number of areas ahead of attending to stimulate discussions and debate.

Audience: All library staff with an interest in external partnerships
